About the position

The Senior SEO Analyst at Mayo Clinic is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing the SEO strategy across multiple domains and mobile applications. This role involves conducting keyword research, competitive analysis, managing SEO campaigns, and collaborating with IT teams to integrate SEO requirements into web development. The analyst will monitor Google algorithm changes, create performance dashboards, and work with third-party vendors to enhance organic traffic and rankings.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the SEO strategy for multiple Mayo Clinic domains and mobile apps.
  • Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to inform SEO strategies.
  • Manage Local and International SEO campaigns and perform technical audits.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate SEO requirements into the web development process.
  • Monitor Google algorithm changes to identify opportunities and emerging issues.
  • Develop performance dashboards and analytics metrics, delivering project analysis and monthly recaps.
  • Work with third-party consultants and leverage analytics tools to measure performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Support backlinking and strategic programs as requested by the SEO Manager.
  • Produce detailed functional requirements documents for onsite search enhancements.
  • Collaborate with various teams to establish and implement taxonomy, data standards, and best practices for optimizing search relevance.

Requirements

  • Minimum BS/BA in Computer Science, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3 years of agency experience or managing enterprise SEO campaigns.
  • 3 years of experience in SEM and SEO.
  • Experience developing and implementing SEO strategies and conducting technical audits.
  • 3 years of experience leading projects in a complex environment.
  • 3 years of experience in SEO content development/management within a digital setting.
  • 3 years of experience with Digital Analytics and/or quantitative analysis skills.
  • 3 years of experience conducting keyword research.
  • 3 years of experience in link acquisition, content promotion, and outreach.
  • 3 years of SEO technical experience including site performance optimization and structured data.
  • Strong understanding of SEM, Social Media, and eCommerce.
  • Expert in utilizing SEO tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Google AdWords.
  • Advanced experience with Google Analytics 360 and Google Search Console.
  • Experience working with CMS environments such as Sitecore and WordPress.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and website administration.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum of 2 years managing SEO at the enterprise level.
  • SQL and big data mining experience.
  • SEO technical experience.
  • SEO certification.
