About the position
The Senior ServiceNow Engineer will provide tier 3 engineering and operational support for the Enterprise Services - Digital Enablement Value Team. This role focuses on the design, development, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring effective utilization of the platform and managing technical aspects of project standups. The engineer will also be responsible for documentation, enhancements, and providing high-level support for the ServiceNow platform.
Responsibilities
- Consult on any proposed utilization of the ServiceNow platform
- Manage technical aspects of standups, including estimation and supporting refinement of stories
- Execute on defined release strategy for the platform
- Document all procedures to support the development, deployment, and use of the platform
- Design, develop, and test proposed enhancements to ServiceNow
- Provide tier 3 engineering support for operations of the ServiceNow platform
- Coordinate problem investigations and document findings
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering field
- Detailed knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and hands-on experience in ServiceNow modules (CMDB/ITSM, ITOM Discovery, Portal, Mobile, Automation)
- Minimum of 3 years of ServiceNow engineering/development experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong documentation writing skills
- Knowledge of JavaScript, Python, API integration, and web services calls
- Knowledge of relational databases and ability to write queries and create database views/schemas
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of automation principles, YAML, and Ansible
- Experience with Oracle or other relational databases
- Familiarity with other ITSM tools
- ITIL Foundation v3 or newer certification
- Experience in Agile Development
