About the position

The Senior ServiceNow Engineer at Raymond James Financial, Inc. is responsible for analyzing business requirements and developing technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role involves the full systems life cycle, including designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting applications. The engineer will manage complex problems independently and provide technical advice while ensuring timely delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and subsystems.
• Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
• Recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs and resolving problems.
• Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
• Participate in software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
• Provide technical advice and assist in solving programming problems.
• Write and/or review system specifications, including output requirements and flow charts.
• Review test results, document test activities, and record remedial actions.
• Ensure proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in ServiceNow development.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow IT Modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, GRC, SecOps).
• Skill in development in JavaScript on the ServiceNow Platform.
• Experience with integrations (e.g., REST APIs, LDAP, Active Directory).
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to deliver project work on time and with high quality.

Nice-to-haves

• ServiceNow Certification (Certified Application Developer).
• ITIL Foundation Certification.
• Experience with Flow Designer and Integration Hub.
