About the position
The Senior ServiceNow Engineer will play a crucial role in the IT Operations team of a Fortune 500 client, focusing on the implementation, configuration, and optimization of ServiceNow solutions. This position requires extensive experience in managing CMDB operations and a strong background in IT service management.
Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, and optimize ServiceNow solutions.
- Lead the daily management of CMDB operations.
- Develop and administer ServiceNow applications and integrations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance IT service management processes.
- Utilize reporting and performance analytics to improve ServiceNow functionalities.
Requirements
- ServiceNow Certified System Admin and Certified Application Developer certification preferred.
- ITIL Certification a plus.
- 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development, administration, and implementation experience focused on NOW platform, ITSM, ITBM.
- 6+ years of experience coding in higher-level languages (e.g., PHP, Python, C++, or Java).
- 4+ years of experience implementing Web Service integration solutions (e.g., REST, SOAP, Node JS).
- 4+ years of experience with integrations; ServiceNow Store, REST API, SOAP API, LDAP, SSO, JDBC, ODBC, etc.
- 3+ years of experience with web-based development languages (JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, Bootstrap, CSS, SCSS, HTTP/HTTPS, AJAX, JSON, XML).
- Experience with orchestration, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations.
Nice-to-haves
- ServiceNow reporting, dashboarding and Performance Analytics preferred.
- Expert in PowerShell, Python a plus.
- Experience with modern UI frameworks like Angular, React a plus.
