About the position

The Senior Signal Processing Engineer - Scrum Master for Naval Air Missiles at Raytheon is responsible for leading Agile processes within the Signal Processing department. This role involves algorithm development for Guidance, Navigation, and Control, as well as Signal Processing for missile systems. The engineer will execute studies to evaluate new system capabilities, ensuring that new integrations do not negatively impact existing system performance. The position requires collaboration with embedded software teams and mentoring new engineers to enhance program efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Scrum Master for the Agile team, facilitating Agile processes.
• Execute studies to evaluate new system capabilities and inform design refinements.
• Conduct system performance studies to ensure new capabilities do not harm existing performance.
• Develop real-time signal processing algorithms for missile system products.
• Provide guidance and training to new engineers to enhance program execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Signal Processing engineering.
• Proficiency in programming with C/C++.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes, tools, and metrics.
• Active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with system performance analysis.
• Familiarity with Unix and/or Linux operating systems.
• Experience supporting flight test activities and performance analysis.
• Experience with missile and captive flight tests, providing real-time and post-mission analysis.
• Strong communication skills with senior leadership and engineering teams.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse team.
