About the position

As a Senior Engineer for Simulation & Automation on the Cisco 8000 team, you will lead the implementation and optimization of simulation software and tools to accelerate IOS-XR & SONIC development. This role involves collaboration with various teams to create digital twins of router and AI fabric products, contributing to a fast-paced environment focused on revolutionizing software development through advanced simulation technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and optimization of simulation software and tools.
• Collaborate with Silicon One ASIC, SDK, and Network software teams.
• Create digital twins of router and AI fabric products.
• Revolutionize the software development process using cutting-edge simulation technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.
• Experience in implementing and deploying simulators or related tools and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Experience modeling ASICs and NPUs.
• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages.
