About the position

Dewberry is seeking a Senior Site/Civil Engineer/Manager to join its Land Development operation. This role involves overseeing civil design projects related to land development, including grading, storm water management, and roadway design. The position requires extensive experience and knowledge to guide projects from concept through to completion, ensuring quality and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a multi-discipline team designing and developing construction plans for site civil/infrastructure projects.
• Communicate with clients regarding project status and requirements.
• Oversee budget and financial responsibilities for projects.
• Prepare and/or oversee construction documents (plans and specifications) and technical reports.
• Conduct engineering analyses and prepare cost estimates.
• Ensure quality control/quality assurance to deliver a quality design product.
• Manage project teams through all phases: concept, permitting, design, construction, and post-construction.
• Establish milestones and completion dates for projects and monitor progress for final evaluation of results.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE in the state of Maryland preferred.
• Ten (10) plus years of experience in civil design of land development projects in the Frederick, Maryland, greater Baltimore, MD, and Washington, DC metro area preferred.
• Experience in preparation of graphics, exhibits, and site/civil construction plans.
• Strong technical capabilities in software applications including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
