About the position

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer for Developer Productivity at CoreWeave plays a crucial role in enhancing the engineering experience by developing, integrating, and operating platforms that streamline software development processes. This position focuses on reducing friction in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and improving developer productivity through automation and tailored solutions. The role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, tackling complex challenges and making a significant impact on the efficiency of engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement services and tools to reduce friction and toil for engineering and operations.
  • Streamline repetitive tasks and eliminate bottlenecks to improve development velocity with automated workflows and processes.
  • Partner with developers to understand their pain points and develop tailored solutions that enhance productivity.
  • Champion best practices and advocate for new tools and technologies to drive ongoing productivity gains.
  • Tackle complex issues related to build systems, testing frameworks, code analysis, and other developer tooling.
  • Enable and evangelize the practice of reliability engineering across CoreWeave's engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the software or infrastructure engineering industry.
  • Experience with Python, Go, or another scripting language.
  • Experience with containerizing applications and/or using Kubernetes to manage deployments.
  • Experience with Git and Linux shell scripting.
  • Experience creating and maintaining GitHub Actions to automate workflows.
  • Experience deploying services in production and interest in reliability-at-scale engineering concepts.
  • Experience refining SDLC, doing code reviews, and providing technical support.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with error budgets, role observability, and fault-tolerant design.
  • Interest in working in a diverse team with varied perspectives.
