About the position

Innova Solutions is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team in St. Louis, Montana. This position is focused on the Disaster Recovery (DR) initiative for various applications across both Cloud and onsite platforms. The selected candidate will be assigned to one or multiple application teams, where they will play a crucial role in establishing DR design, implementation, troubleshooting, and supporting DR tests. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical resource for the Cloud Enablement (CE) team and will actively participate in project activities, including daily standups, status updates, pair programming, and sprint planning. Collaboration with architects to ensure alignment with best practices is also a key aspect of this role. The primary responsibilities of the Senior Site Reliability Engineer include providing consultation for migration and new builds to application teams, installing and configuring software as needed, scripting and coding as required, troubleshooting errors as they arise, and supporting integration with external SaaS entities. Additionally, the engineer will provide guidance on multi-regional installations, configurations, integrations, and data transfers related to disaster recovery. The role also involves the creation of supporting documentation and guides, as well as maintaining standard and security policies. Candidates should have experience and knowledge of DR configuration and implementation using at least two of the following observability tools: CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

  • Work on Disaster Recovery (DR) initiatives for various applications in Cloud and onsite platforms.
  • Establish DR design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support DR tests for application teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in disaster recovery configuration and implementation.
  • Knowledge of at least two observability tools such as CloudWatch and Dynatrace.
  • Strong scripting and coding skills.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage in project activities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional observability tools beyond the required ones.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services.
  • Knowledge of security policies and best practices in IT.
