About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the Foundational Automation team within the Infrastructure Technology Services organization. This role focuses on providing system support for technical issues related to large-scale applications, systems, databases, and other technical products. The engineer will be responsible for production support of applications, working with ancillary technologies to ensure application integration and data integrity, and leveraging automation to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or participate in managing all installed systems, applications, and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area.
  • Contribute to increasing system efficiencies and lowering human intervention time on related tasks.
  • Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure high levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution.
  • Lead the team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging a solid understanding of technical process controls or standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve the highest levels of systems availability.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 3+ years of application production support experience in a 24/7 environment monitoring systems and troubleshooting inefficiencies and errors.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting and maintaining RESTful Application Program Interface (API).
  • 2+ years of scripting experience using Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, Python, Java, or PL-SQL.
  • 2+ years of Agile experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1+ year of JIRA experience.
  • Experience using the team collaboration software Confluence.
  • Experience with MS Azure cloud and Google cloud computing technologies.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Splunk technologies.
  • Experience with Mongo DB.
  • Experience with AI automation such as Amelia or IPSoft.
