About the position

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer at NCR Voyix is responsible for enhancing the efficiency and performance of cloud-based platforms by creating reusable automation templates and scripts. This role focuses on operational support for automation platforms, integrating third-party tools, and facilitating the migration of applications from on-premises to cloud environments. The position plays a crucial role in ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance across NCR managed devices and platforms in GCP or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Create reusable templates for automating recovery steps across NCR managed devices and platforms in GCP or Azure.
• Increase efficiency, eliminate downtime, and drive performance across all platforms.
• Write scripts and automation code to provision software deployed in the cloud.
• Develop integrations between third-party tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, and GitHub.
• Collaborate with development and support teams on problem management efforts.
• Provide operational support to the automation platform.
• Assist with reviewing documentation for migrating applications from on-prem to cloud.

Requirements

• Proven experience in site reliability engineering or a related field.
• Strong scripting and automation skills, particularly in cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure.
• Familiarity with third-party tools like ServiceNow, JIRA, and GitHub.
• Ability to work collaboratively with development and support teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
