About the position
The Senior Social Catering Sales Manager at Mayfair House Hotel & Garden is responsible for driving social, wedding, and event sales while creating memorable experiences for guests. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, cultivating client relationships, and ensuring flawless event execution, all while embodying the luxury and leisure ethos of the hotel.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to attract and retain clients.
- Actively pursue new business locally and nationally through various outreach methods.
- Maximize the use of hotel space to generate food and beverage revenues.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs.
- Exceed client satisfaction by anticipating problems and delivering high levels of service.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to improve future events.
- Collaborate with clients to design bespoke events and coordinate with internal teams for execution.
- Communicate regularly with key wedding planners and industry contacts to promote the property.
- Provide accurate information to all departments regarding group needs and maintain documentation.
- Manage function details to ensure complete satisfaction and repeat business.
- Review event bills for accuracy and approve payment.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and identify new business opportunities.
- Represent the hotel at industry events and networking functions.
Requirements
- Proven track record in catering sales, preferably with 3 years of experience in a luxury hotel or high-end event venue.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
