About the position

The AWS Social Media Team is seeking an experienced Social Media Marketing Manager to support the Developer Experience (DevEx) stakeholder group. This role involves developing and executing social media strategies across various platforms to enhance the AWS brand and engage developers. The manager will coordinate content creation, analyze performance metrics, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive brand awareness and product adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies for AWS Developer brand accounts across platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads, and X.
  • Coordinate content creation with content creators, developer community members, and Developer Advocates.
  • Analyze and report on social media performance metrics, defining goals and strategies with the DevEx stakeholder group.
  • Create high-quality content such as videos, blog posts, or podcasts targeted at engineers and technical end users.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to publish product-focused social media and newsletter content.
  • Launch social programs to enhance the credibility of the AWS brand globally.
  • Execute standalone social media campaigns and integrate them into multi-channel advertising efforts.
  • Manage daily operations of social media channels, including content creation, publishing, and community management.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with DevEx and partner with external media agencies.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Tableau for data manipulation, including macros, charts, and pivot tables.
  • Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs.
  • Ability to communicate results to senior leadership.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using live or virtual events, webinars, and email.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Tableau.
  • Experience as a social media marketing manager.
