About the position

The Senior Social Media Manager at Generac Power Systems is responsible for developing and executing strategies to engage key audiences for the Generac brand. This role involves content planning, creation, project management, and mentoring junior team members. The manager will oversee social media campaigns, produce engaging content, and ensure compliance with legal standards while staying updated on trends. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to align business goals with creative content across various platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Responsibilities

  • Develop highly engaging content that maximizes reach and engagement for social media platforms.
  • Execute content calendar development through concepting, copywriting, and content guidance.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Team and third-party agencies to bring ideas to life and manage the review process.
  • Mentor junior team members on brand tone, voice, and social writing excellence.
  • Develop detailed briefs for content needs with input from key stakeholders.
  • Concept, storyboard, film, and edit UGC-type vertical video content.
  • Guide external content creator and influencer work across the business.
  • Identify and bring customer testimonials to life for organic social content.
  • Turn relevant cultural and social media trends into content that resonates with audiences.
  • Compile and interpret analytics reports to explain social media success and create action items for improvement.
  • Engage with audience comments and direct them to appropriate teams for optimizing customer experience.
  • Identify and recommend improvements for processes and procedures in social media management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6 years' experience working in social media content with a portfolio showcasing previous brand work.
  • Proven ability to independently create and execute social media content with measurable success.
  • Expertise in editorial calendaring and planning content in advance while remaining flexible.
