About the position

Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Architecture Lead to establish technical standards and best practices within the National Security Sector (NSS) software organization. This role focuses on defining technological roadmaps and ensuring the consistent delivery of mission-critical software, requiring a strong technical background in software development and secure practices, along with leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve best practices for software development across the NSS.
• Establish technological roadmaps to position Leidos as a premier provider of mission software.
• Ensure consistency in software delivery across programs and internal development efforts.
• Define core software key performance indicators for all development activities.
• Provide proposal and capture support as required.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in a Science, Engineering, or Technology field with 15 years of experience (experience may substitute degree requirements).
• Ability to obtain a security clearance for a position of trust within the US government.
• Recent experience within the National Security domain.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to mentor, lead, and promote talent.

• Experience in proposal activities for national security customers.
