About the position

The Senior Software Dev QA Engineer at Fortinet is responsible for ensuring the quality of software products through effective testing and automation. This role involves collaboration with developers and DevOps teams to design test suites and develop automation tools, particularly for cybersecurity products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and testing, with a focus on adapting to new technologies and processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and design the test suites and test the products like FortiWeb and its related products for all the features.
• Join the entire development process to design the products from the QA perspective.
• Design and develop automation-test tools and test cases.
• Monitor and analyze the customer's tickets.
• Conduct new product research prior to development.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Software Dev QA, Software developer in cybersecurity or related industry.
• Good understanding of network products.
• Understanding of software development life cycle.
• Proficiency in a scripting language, such as Python or Bash.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, such as GCP, AWS, or OpenStack.
• Knowledge in a compiling language, such as Go or Rust.
• Knowledge in networking and protocols including L7(HTTP, TLS/SSL), L4(TCP), L3(Routing mechanisms).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
