About the position

The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, debugging, and implementing software solutions primarily using ColdFusion and related technologies. This role involves troubleshooting production issues, coordinating with project teams, and mentoring junior developers while adhering to Agile methodologies. The position requires a proactive approach to project work and a strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC).

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software in ColdFusion, Oracle database, SQL, Java Script, HTML5, CSS3, and REST (API Calls).
• Troubleshoots and solves production problems related to software applications in a responsive manner.
• Designs, develops, tests, debugs, builds, and coordinates the upgrade, conversion, and/or integration of products.
• Communicates and coordinates with project teams, stakeholders, enterprise architects, and management to identify, prioritize, and implement application requirements.
• Participates in Agile development methodologies and is proactive in identifying day-to-day project work and responsible for its completion.
• Mentors, instructs, advises, and checks the work of other software developers within the organization.
• Develops architecture and design artifacts, software user manuals, and training materials.
• Assists with planning and configuring of existing architecture.
• Supports the maintenance of existing software artifacts such as Requirements documents, Software Architecture documents, Test documents, Maintenance Evaluations, Release Notes, and Build of Materials.
• Assists application owners with their compliance activities related to application software artifacts such as system diagrams, software architecture, and network diagrams.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in ColdFusion, Oracle database, SQL, Java Script, HTML5, CSS3, and REST (API Calls)
• Bachelor's degree
• Active SECRET Clearance
• Familiarity with the program Software Development Support Services (SDSS)
