About the position

Avenu|Court is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Java Developer to enhance its Court Management application, which is crucial for managing case information across various jurisdictions. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable SaaS solutions while integrating new features and reducing technical debt. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives and stay updated with industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and reliable SaaS solutions.
• Contribute to and drive design and architecture decisions, aligning them with the product roadmap and business objectives.
• Integrate new features with third-party systems, implementing seamless interaction within all application levels while protecting existing functionality.
• Championing the best software development and service delivery practices, including agile methodologies, code reviews, unit testing, CI/CD, and TDD.
• Actively work to reduce technical debt through refactoring and updating older code segments as assigned.
• Collaborating closely with geographically distributed and cross-functional team members and stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
• Staying updated with industry trends and advancements to enhance our development processes and service offerings.
• Fostering a culture of learning, growth, and productivity within the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology with an emphasis in software development or another related field.
• 8+ years of experience with developing code for Java-based applications.
• 5+ years of experience in software delivery teams, preferably with a SaaS delivery model.
• Experience with web-based and microservices architectures.
• Experience with API development.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Proven experience with industry best practices, including DevOps, TDD, and Agile.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the State, Local, and Federal Judicial industry.
