About the position
The ServiceNow System Administrator will be responsible for managing and configuring the ServiceNow environment, supporting various departments, and ensuring the effective use of the ITSM tool. This role requires advanced knowledge in system administration, IT asset management, and ITIL methodologies, with a focus on enhancing system functionality and performance. The position also involves developing technical requirements, managing integrations, and providing performance measurement and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage and configure the ServiceNow ITSM tool, including backend configurations, patches, and updates.
- Support the development and adoption of system enhancements and maturity roadmap.
- Execute administration and configuration tasks in an Agile project environment.
- Maintain IT Asset Management practices and ensure compliance with ITAM processes.
- Develop technical requirements and assist customers in defining business needs and workflows.
- Monitor system health and user activity, executing daily administration tasks.
- Manage SNOW Discovery functionality and Configuration Management processes.
- Oversee SNOW IT Business Management functionality, particularly Project Management.
- Establish and enhance integrations between ServiceNow and other systems.
- Develop and customize reports and dashboards, determining key metrics and KPIs.
- Create IT process documentation and operating procedures materials.
- Conduct research and data analysis to translate data for various stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7+ years of ServiceNow Administration experience
- 3+ years of Service Catalog Development
- 4+ years of Configuration Management & Discovery Experience
- ITIL Certifications
- ServiceNow Certification
- Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM and ITBM Modules
- Expertise in Performance Measurement and Reporting practices
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
Nice-to-haves
- ServiceNow System Administrator Certification
- ITIL certification in Service Design, Operations, and/or Transition
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Platform Integration(s)
- Knowledge of ESRI Geographic Information Systems
