About the position

The Senior Software Developer SME will play a crucial role in the Consulting and Analytics Division at Acclaim Technical Services, focusing on the development of AWS Serverless Applications. This position requires expertise in agile methodologies and a strong background in software development, database administration, and cloud technologies. The developer will be responsible for creating and maintaining web applications, configuring cloud environments, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a web application for reserving shared seating.
• Configure a JWICS-based AWS environment for business analytics.
• Develop, configure, optimize, and maintain the cloud environment.
• Provide operations and maintenance for applications in the cloud infrastructure.
• Create and maintain a development environment for rapid deployment of web applications.
• Develop and deploy web applications for analytic reporting products.
• Assist with prototyping solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve outages and performance issues in the AWS environment.
• Implement changes to applications based on partner requirements and policies.
• Develop software to meet Sponsor requirements and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.

Requirements

• Expertise with AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field with 8 years of experience; or a Master's with 6 years; or an Associate's with 10 years.
• At least 10 years of experience in software development, database administration, or related field.
• 6 years of experience with SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, and DML.
• Strong experience with Oracle and PL/SQL backend development.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud migration and hybrid cloud management solutions.
• 4+ years of experience in system disaster recovery and backup solution management.
• Extensive knowledge of DBMS Job Control Language (JCL) and performance tuning.
• 4+ years of experience in VMWare or other virtualization technologies.
• Experience in providing technical leadership in architecture and engineering services.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and integrating data sources for customized dashboards.
• Experience with ITIL Framework and enterprise infrastructure.
