About the position

As a Senior Software Engineer in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, you will solve challenging technical problems and contribute to the development, delivery, and operation of cloud services for animation, film, and game development studios. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and operating cloud services tailored for the digital media production industry, including virtual animation workstations, digital asset management, and high-performance storage. You will collaborate with a talented team to build scalable and highly available cloud services, ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Cloud service design for availability, scalability, observability and testability
  • Implementation, validation and documentation of services and their component microservices
  • Collaboration within the engineering team to deliver and operate cloud services that enable animation, film and game development studios to run their production workflows in the cloud
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry best practices, ensuring compliance and driving innovation within the organization
  • Launching new cloud services and establishing operational excellence
  • Work collaboratively to realize and achieve the technical vision of the team
  • Ability to engage with geographically distributed engineering teams
  • Ensuring compliance to software development standards, processes and best practices

Requirements

  • Large/enterprise scale software development and engineering experience, particularly with cloud services and distributed systems
  • Domain knowledge and experience with workflows and pipelines for media production
  • Experience collaborating with geo-distributed teams
  • Training and experience in software implementation, code and design review, failure root cause analysis
  • Designing for availability, observability, scalability, testability, recoverability
  • BS/CS Computer Science or related field and 3+ years software development experience with modern programming languages

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience and domain knowledge in media production pipeline infrastructure services
  • Familiarity with 3D frameworks, universal scene description, scene graphs, layers and models, 3D data packaging, rendering workflows, image composition
