About the position

The Site Software Engineer position is a full-time role based in Washington D.C., requiring a hybrid work model of three days onsite and two days remote. The role focuses on providing subject matter expertise in software development to clients, particularly within the federal government, and involves significant collaboration with both the team and customers.

Responsibilities

• Offer subject matter expertise in development to both the team and the customer.
• Conduct research, design, testing, evaluation, and implementation of technologies related to Kubernetes, containerization, and other infrastructure components.
• Collaborate closely with the team and the customer on a daily basis.
• Contribute to the creation and optimization of all necessary functions within the core platform to establish a robust infrastructure.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Software Developer or Engineer.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
• Proficiency in software development languages such as .NET, Java, Python, and Go.
• Experience working in a DevSecOps environment.
• Familiarity with Source Code repositories and CI/CD pipeline solutions, including Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, K8, and CI/CD Automation.
• Working knowledge of container orchestration tools such as Rancher and OpenShift.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently when required.
