About the position

The position involves leading the design, architecture, implementation, and delivery of innovative AI capabilities for Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure (OHAI). The role focuses on creating multi-modal conversational experiences that enhance healthcare delivery by integrating voice, text, and touch interfaces. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the development of patient-and provider-centric solutions using advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex software systems.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize high-quality code to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our software products.
• Participate in architectural discussions and provide technical guidance to ensure the adoption of best practices and alignment with the overall technology roadmap.
• Work closely with product managers to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver features in a timely manner.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in conversational AI, clinical automation, and healthcare IT.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, architecture, and deployment.
• Strong background in C/C++, Java (or similar OO language) and microservice architecture.
• Strong experience in developing windows applications using C++, MFC, STL, ATL, COM/DCOM.
• Good understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Ability to turn requirements into deliverables.
• Good understanding of operations, observability, reliability, and security.
• Ability to design and develop scalable applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguities.
• React/TypeScript or similar front-end framework development experience.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Good understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
