About the position

The Senior Software Engineer will be a key member of Motive's Small Cell solutions development team, responsible for designing, implementing, and testing software modules. This role requires strong technical and analytical skills, as well as effective communication abilities to collaborate with various stakeholders and ensure high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, implementation and testing of various software modules in the Motive Small Cell solutions portfolio
• Work with Architects and Product Manager to refine product requirements and define product design
• Participate in the agile product development process to produce high quality software on time
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, product management and business stakeholders
• Collaborate with other teams (Support, Customer Projects) to ensure customer issues are resolved promptly
• Ensure prompt and quality delivery of code and design artifacts
• Provide unit testing, code documentation and support of developed applications

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years experience with Java, JavaScript, XML, XSL and HTML
• Experience of integration technologies: Weblogic, Camel, JMS, SOAP, REST, Webservices, WSDL and HTTP
• Experience with J2EE, JDBC, Hibernate, Spring Framework, SQL, Databases (Oracle 11g, 10g), EJB, MBeans, JNDI, OSGi and Servlets
• Hands on code development experience with SNMP integrations is a plus
• Hands on experience with Bamboo, Maven, Subversion and Atlassian tools such as JIRA
• Working experience writing jUnit tests and using utilities such as jMeter and SOAP UI Toolkit
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high stress environment
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly with a positive attitude
• BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent experience
