About the position

The Senior Software Developer at SMBC will play a crucial role in the Digital Transformation of the Americas Division, focusing on modernizing technology and enhancing data-driven approaches. This position involves designing, developing, testing, supporting, and maintaining software applications primarily using Python, SQL, and C#/.Net, while also leveraging cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure. The developer will collaborate closely with various teams, including Business Analysts and Project Managers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, support, and maintain software applications.
• Utilize Python, SQL, C#/.Net, and middleware IBM MQ for messaging.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and other teams across the organization.

Requirements

• 7-12 years of professional experience in Software Development.
• Hands-on development experience in Python and SQL programming.
• Strong knowledge of Python programming.
• Strong knowledge of SQL programming with the ability to write and simplify complex queries and improve query performance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to self-direct, analyze, evaluate, and form independent judgments.
• Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and stakeholders.
• Strong project and people management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including experience speaking to technical and business audiences.
