About the position

The Senior Software Developer position at Alert IT Solutions Inc. involves leading and executing complex software development projects for the State of Illinois, specifically focusing on school and district improvement initiatives. The role requires extensive experience in full-stack development, mentoring peers, and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coding, and delivering high-quality software solutions while adhering to Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development projects related to school improvement funding.
• Mentor junior developers and delegate tasks effectively.
• Communicate technical requirements to both developers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Plan, code, and execute complex software projects.
• Utilize Agile software development cycles with TFS/Azure DevOps.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Management, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of eight years of professional work experience in computer programming.
• At least eight years of hands-on full-stack development experience.
• Proficiency in ASP.Net Core 3.x, ASP.Net Framework 4.x, ASP.Net Web Forms, Entity Framework, JavaScript (Vue, React, Angular), SQL Server 2008+, T-SQL, Visual Basic/C#, APIs, and Identity Server/OAuth2.
• At least four years of experience using Agile software development cycles.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with projects related to School Improvement Funding and Title I School Improvement grants.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on collaboration.
