About the position

BAE Systems is seeking a motivated, self-driven Senior Software Engineer to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) and other evolving business pursuits. This role involves working with an experienced software development team in creating software that aligns with the DoD DevSecOps reference architecture, focusing on rapidly developing web and cloud applications with a security mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of next generation modeling and simulation software for the ICBM enterprise.
  • Develop client-server data analytics platforms and provide project execution support throughout all phases of planning, restoration, and modernization efforts.
  • Create software solutions including web applications, back end services, scripts, and modifications of existing software solutions.
  • Engage in full stack development from data solutions to front end GUI design using the latest UI/UX principles.
  • Participate in Agile software development methodologies, including daily standups, pair programming, and code reviews.
  • Deploy products using a DevSecOps toolchain that emphasizes security in a fully automated pipeline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science and 7 years of professional software development experience (5 years with a Master's Degree).
  • Experience in Agile software development with technologies such as ReactJS, Python, and C#.
  • Familiarity with Cloud native and DevOps environments.
  • Proficiency in developing software for complex enterprise relational database platforms like Oracle, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience in developing secure microservices and supporting REST/JSON based HTML5/JavaScript client-server traffic.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience developing solutions for complex Business Intelligence ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with secure IT systems and ATOs compliant with DoD standards and regulations.
  • CompTIA Sec+ certification or other DoD 8570 Certifications.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
