About the position

ASRC Federal Holding Company is a premier provider of systems and solutions for a wide variety of federal government customers. We are seeking a Technical Leader experienced in guiding teams of .NET developers to join our company. This role is crucial as it involves designing, developing, and delivering products and solutions that directly impact our federal government customers' missions. The successful candidate will work closely with our Center of Excellence, contributing to our overall company best practices, knowledge base, and innovation pursuits. This is a full-time position with a hybrid working arrangement, allowing the successful candidate to work remotely with at least two days per week at one of the following locations: Arlington, VA or Sterling, VA. In addition to directly building critical government systems, your connection with ASRC Federal Centers of Excellence offers you a unique ability to expand and grow through various initiatives such as Research and Development, internal technical competitions, cross-domain Subject Matter Expertise (SME) collaboration, and innovation and technology exploration. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software developers in support of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) mission with an ability to guide them on technical decisions, best practices, and team efficiencies
  • Collaborate effectively with leadership and customers
  • Ensure the Requirements Analysts data is accurately reflected in the appropriate system of record
  • Work collaboratively in an Agile software development environment driving continuous improvement for the team
  • Ensure quality and integrity of the software prior to it reaching production
  • Apply modern software development techniques for a modular system
  • Learn new technologies as they are introduced, and as the software applications and environment evolves
  • Support modernization of software development practices

Requirements

  • Lead a team of 5-7 developers
  • Lead technical planning meetings
  • Conduct peer code reviews and final code reviews
  • Demonstrate soft skills in terms of professionalism, conduct and execution in a client-facing role
  • Facilitate and drive Agile software development techniques
  • Experience with DevOps practices and toolchains
  • Experience in web development using technology such as ASP .NET, JavaScript, C#, AJAX, HTML, CSS, XML, and so forth
  • Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) using technologies such as SQL and Oracle
  • Understanding of DevOps
  • Experience in building automated test frameworks and test practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to context switch
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
