About the position

Noblis is seeking a mission-focused Senior Full Stack Software Developer to support our fast-paced and growing Data Science Team working on projects that are critical to national security. The Senior Software Developer will play a pivotal role in supporting a team of Data Scientists who leverage automation and machine learning (ML) to manage data, predict scenarios, and make recommendations. This position involves building data storage platforms and assisting analysts in utilizing technology to enhance their efficiency in performing their jobs. The Developer will be responsible for implementing large-scale data ecosystems, which include data management, governance, and the integration of both structured and unstructured data to generate valuable insights for team members. Additionally, the Developer will contribute to the creation of new analytical tools and packages across the enterprise, collaborating with team members in a highly technical environment. A key expectation for this role is to learn and leverage emerging technologies, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), to stay at the forefront of technological advancements in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Support a team of Data Scientists leveraging automation and machine learning (ML) to manage data, predict scenarios, and make recommendations.
  • Build data storage platforms to help analysts perform their jobs more efficiently.
  • Implement large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance, and integration of structured and unstructured data.
  • Contribute to building new analytical tools and packages across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with team members in a highly technical environment.
  • Learn and leverage emerging technologies including Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Requirements

  • Must have an active TS/SCI with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
  • Master's degree and 8 years of relevant experience; Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience; Associates degree and 13 years of relevant experience; OR High School Diploma and 16 years of experience.
  • At least 4+ years of experience with designing, building, and modifying standalone application software.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, and Bash.
  • Experience with Linux OS, Windows, and code repositories such as Git.
  • Proficient in some combination of JavaScript, Bootstrap, REST API, Angular, Redux, HTML, CSS, or JSON.
  • Experience troubleshooting applications in an operational environment.
  • Well-versed using version control systems and issue/problem tracking systems.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) Developer or Solutions Architect certifications.
  • Experience or interest in artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working within a DevOps environment.
  • Experience with Django, Elasticsearch, and NoSQL.
