About the position

As a Senior Software Developer at Oracle, you will play a crucial role in the development of the Oracle Notification Service, a fully managed, multi-tenant pub/sub service. This position requires a strong coding background and expertise in distributed systems, allowing you to design and implement scalable solutions that meet user needs. You will work in a collaborative, agile environment, focusing on creating usable software that addresses real-world problems.

Responsibilities

• Own the software development for major components of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure.
• Design and build scalable solutions for the Oracle Notification Service.
• Provide technical leadership to other software developers.
• Specify, design, and implement changes to existing software architecture to meet evolving needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, engineers, and product managers.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of experience shipping services software.
• Demonstrated ability to write great code using Java, Python, GoLang, C#, or similar OO languages.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures.
• Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
