The Senior Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS) plays a crucial role in innovating and providing NextGen solutions at scale. Responsibilities
- Design and Direction Reviews for multiple products that the team owns
- Planning and alignment with stakeholders including PEs
- Deep dives into operational issues
- Help with prioritization, sprint planning, backlog grooming
- Solve challenging technical problems at every layer of the stack
- Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions
- Build high-quality, highly available, always-on products
- Research implementations that deliver the best possible experiences for customers
- Create metrics, implement automation and other improvements, and resolve the root cause of software defects
- Participate in design discussions, code review, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Work cross-functionally to help drive business decisions with technical input
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Nice-to-haves
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
