About the position
The Senior Software Development Engineer for AWS Managed Services (AMS) will be responsible for developing and enhancing feature capabilities that facilitate the accelerated adoption of AWS services for enterprise customers. This role involves building innovative product capabilities that deliver operational outcomes for customers using a variety of AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB. The position is ideal for individuals passionate about cloud technology and contributing to the success of major companies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve feature capabilities for AWS services.
- Build new product capabilities to deliver operational outcomes for customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance AWS service adoption.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead design or architecture discussions.
- Implement best practices for software development life cycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Experience as a mentor or tech lead in an engineering team.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle.
Nice-to-haves
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle including coding standards and testing.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
