About the position

The File Systems group within Apple's Core OS organization is seeking a passionate engineer to join their software validation team. This role focuses on creating scalable and robust testing systems to validate data storage technologies software across a wide array of Apple products, including unreleased prototypes. The team collaborates closely with software engineering throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design to customer delivery.

Responsibilities

• Test planning and design for storage technologies.
• Development of test software across the entire product stack, from unit to end-to-end testing.
• Deployment of systems and environments for testing.
• Support engineering teams with triage, debugging, and validation of software issues.

Requirements

• Strong, demonstrable skill in a programming language (Python, Java, C, etc.).
• Strong understanding of test and validation methodologies.
• Experience developing in Linux or Unix-like operating systems.

Nice-to-haves

• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working on File Systems.
• Experience leading a software project from technical spec to production.
• Experience with embedded devices testing.
• Experience with DevOps (CI, CD, automation strategies, etc.).
• Experience administering networked based systems.
