About the position

This role is positioned on the CVS Health Enterprise Identity Services team, which is responsible for managing a big data platform that identifies customers across various channels. The identity demographic information is crucial for powering programs and services that enhance customer safety and access to services. The primary goal is to create a trusted and definitive identity data asset that can be utilized across all lines of business, emphasizing the importance of customer identity as a strategic enabler for CVS Health. As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will join a software engineering team tasked with implementing connections between systems to facilitate the flow of data from upstream providers to downstream consumers. Candidates must be adept at navigating a highly complex environment within a DevOps model. The platform operates on an on-premise multi-layer IBM stack, processing data from source connections and building integrations for enterprise API access. This role will transition into a cloud engineering position as the team migrates to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a hands-on role that demands specific coding skills. After gaining expertise and collaborating with the software engineering team on the existing tech stack, you will oversee the migration of activities to a cloud environment. Responsibilities include designing and implementing cloud-native solutions for enterprise use cases, establishing clear criteria with stakeholders, ensuring high availability of real-time data use cases, and prioritizing activities based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Implement connections between systems to enable data flow from upstream providers to downstream consumers.
  • Design and implement cloud-native solutions for enterprise use cases.
  • Establish clear and specific criteria with key stakeholders for project success.
  • Oversee the implementation of solutions to maintain high availability of real-time data use cases.
  • Prioritize activities in accordance with business needs and project timelines.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on development experience in an information systems environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development, including J2EE containers like WebSphere App Server and Web Logic.
  • 3+ years of experience with relational databases such as DB2 or Oracle.
  • 2+ years of experience in Linux/AIX systems.
  • 2+ years of API development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working in an Agile-based development environment and using DevOps practices such as Continuous Integration (CI/CD).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience and certification on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience working with Master Data Management (MDM) technology and concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
