About the position

The Senior Software Development Engineer role at Robert Bosch LLC involves working in the Driving Systems department to implement Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) components. The position focuses on developing Human Machine Interface (HMI) functionalities, analyzing customer requirements, and creating design documentation. The engineer will work in an agile team environment, supporting test engineering and performing vehicle-level testing for Driver Assistance software functions.

Responsibilities

  • Implement ADAS component functionality and integration.
  • Develop Human Machine Interface (HMI) for Driver Assistance functions.
  • Analyze customer requirements and create design documentation.
  • Implement logic for new features and modify existing logic.
  • Perform design and implementation reviews.
  • Support test engineering with the creation and execution of test cases.
  • Conduct vehicle level testing for Driver Assistance software functions.
  • Collaborate with Requirements, Project Managers, and Test Engineers to develop quality test cases.
  • Document test data and results, and support validation on system/vehicle level.
  • Communicate with global software developers to share knowledge and lessons learned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Embedded Software Engineer.
  • Experience with C++ programming in automotive or embedded control systems.
  • Familiarity with V model or Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB or Simulink.
  • Experience with Requirement Management tools like IBM DOORS.
  • Knowledge of Vector Tooling (CANalyzer or CANape).
  • Experience with Driver Assistance or ADAS functions, specifically Adaptive Cruise Control.
