About the position
The Senior Software Development Engineer will work in the Driving Systems department at Robert Bosch LLC, focusing on the implementation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) components. This role involves developing Human Machine Interface (HMI) functionalities, analyzing customer requirements, and creating design documentation. The engineer will work in an agile team environment, responsible for software development, requirements engineering, and vehicle-level testing for driver assistance software functions.
Responsibilities
- Implement ADAS component functionalities and test cases integration.
- Review activities and participate in requirement discussions.
- Develop Human Machine Interface (HMI) for Driver Assistance functions.
- Analyze customer requirements and create design documentation.
- Implement logic for new features and modify existing logic as needed.
- Perform design and implementation reviews, supporting team members.
- Support test engineering with the creation and execution of test cases.
- Conduct vehicle-level testing for Driver Assistance software functions.
- Communicate with global software developers to share knowledge and lessons learned.
- Support validation on system/vehicle level and customer validation trips.
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Embedded Software Engineer.
- Experience with C++ programming in automotive or embedded control systems.
- Familiarity with V model or Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in MATLAB or Simulink.
- Experience with Requirement Management tools like IBM DOORS.
- Knowledge of Vector Tooling (CANalyzer or CANape).
- Experience with Driver Assistance or ADAS functions, such as Adaptive Cruise Control.
