About the position

The Amazon Robotics team is seeking experienced software engineers to develop and deploy high-performance robotic systems that integrate with fulfillment center operations. This role involves planning, implementing, testing, and monitoring software systems that enhance robotic capabilities, including computer vision, machine learning, and robotic control. Engineers will work collaboratively on both prototype and large-scale deployment projects, taking ownership of various aspects of the robotic software stack.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy software systems that integrate robots in fulfillment centers.
  • Plan the roadmap for robotic deployments.
  • Implement, test, and monitor services in the robotic fleet.
  • Create infrastructure software that integrates with computer vision systems, ML and AI models, and robotic control.
  • Manage end-to-end ownership of decision explanation, fault detection, monitoring, A/B testing, and simulation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on hardware and software integration.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
