About the position

The Senior Software Engineer in Robotics AI will be responsible for developing high-performance robotic systems that can perceive, learn, and act intelligently. This role involves working on initial robotic prototypes and deploying workcells, focusing on building computer vision systems, machine learning and AI models, robotic control, and motion planning. The engineer will have end-to-end ownership of various processes including decision explanation, fault detection, monitoring, A/B testing, and large-scale model training, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Build computer vision systems and machine learning models for robotic applications.
• Develop robotic control and motion planning algorithms.
• Manage process workflows and system monitoring for robotic deployments.
• Implement and test software services in the robotic fleet.
• Participate in the planning and roadmap development for robotic systems.
• Conduct fault detection and decision explanation for robotic operations.
• Engage in large-scale model training and simulation for performance optimization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience mentoring or leading an engineering team.
• Experience in building computer vision systems, ML and AI models, and robotic control.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle including coding standards and code reviews.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
