The Ads Platform and Interfaces teams are dedicated to technical excellence and a strong customer focus, aiming to meet customer needs with reliable and performant platforms and services. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team, who is excited to grow their business understanding and build highly scalable and reliable software. This role involves collaborating across disciplines and geographies to achieve the best results. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and continuously improving the TikTok Ads experience. You will manage a focused team of software engineers, providing guidance, regular feedback, education, and mentoring. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other disciplines to explore the next generation of ads experiences on TikTok. You will also take responsibility for the team project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, defining a long-term technical roadmap and contributing to technical decisions on your team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, along with 5+ years of experience in software engineering. Strong Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and software design, are essential, as well as problem-solving skills. The ability to think critically and formulate solutions clearly and concisely is crucial. Very strong teamwork skills, including communication, ownership, empathy, and honesty, are also required. Experience with Advertisement Technology is a plus, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and continuously improve TikTok Ads experience.
• Manage the work of a focused team of software engineers, providing guidance, regular feedback, education, and mentoring.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other disciplines to explore the next generation of ads experiences on TikTok.
• Take responsibility for the team project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Define a long-term technical roadmap and contribute to technical decisions on your team.
• Collaborate with PM and R&D teams globally, in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, software design) and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think critically and to formulate solutions in a clear and concise way.
• Very strong teamwork skills (e.g. communication, ownership, empathy, honesty).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Advertisement Technology is a plus, but not required.
