About the position

The Senior Software Engineer for the AI Platform in Robotics at NVIDIA will lead the design and development of an advanced AI platform aimed at enabling industrial-grade robotics solutions. This role involves deploying solutions for customers to run their AI workflows, debugging and optimizing the software stack, and collaborating with various teams to ensure successful project integration and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design & development of an AI platform for industrial-grade robotics solutions.
• Deploy solutions to enable customers to run their AI workflows on the platform.
• Debug and optimize the full software stack from front-end to back-end.
• Work closely with dependent teams to drive the project.
• Manage issues during integration, testing, deployment, and quality assurance.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of work experience in software engineering.
• At least 2+ years of experience working on cloud platforms.
• Experience with Docker & Kubernetes for scalable fault-tolerant service deployments.
• Excellent Python programming skills and proficiency in other scripting languages.
• Strong data skills and software design capabilities.
• Ability to learn quickly and debug complex system issues.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes.
• Experience deploying with various cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, and Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience building data platforms to scale AI workflows.
• Demonstrated technical ownership in a cross-organizational, multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience leading a software project involving 4 or more engineers.
