About the position
As a Senior Android Software Engineer on the Android Infrastructure team at DoorDash, you will be responsible for building foundational components for all DoorDash Android applications, including runtime libraries, build systems, and development tools. This role involves collaboration with engineers, technical product managers, and engineering managers to deliver impactful initiatives while also serving as a mentor and culture carrier within the Android community.
Responsibilities
- Build foundational pieces for DoorDash Android applications including runtime libraries, build systems, and development tools.
- Collaborate with engineers, technical product managers, and engineering managers to deliver large and impactful initiatives.
- Mentor and engage with peers in the Android community to promote best practices and improve engineering culture.
- Implement industry best practices for Android development.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Android development experience.
- Expertise in Android development, Gradle, Compose, and Coroutines.
- Strong product mindset for building platform services.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
