About the position

As a Senior Android Software Engineer on the Server Driven UI Platform team at DoorDash, you will be responsible for building foundational components used across all DoorDash Android applications. This includes developing runtime libraries, backend libraries, and development tools that enhance the productivity of engineers within the company. You will collaborate closely with various teams to deliver impactful initiatives and improve the engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Build foundational pieces for DoorDash Android applications including runtime libraries and development tools.
• Collaborate with engineers, technical product managers, and engineering managers to deliver large initiatives.
• Implement industry best practices for Android development.
• Contribute to the improvement of the engineering culture within the organization.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Android development experience.
• Expertise in Android development, Gradle, Compose, and Coroutines.
• Experience with Server Driven UI systems.
• Strong product mindset for building platform services.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
