About the position
The Senior Software Engineer, Back End (Java) at Capital One is responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting technical solutions in a collaborative Agile environment. This role focuses on leveraging data and emerging technologies to solve complex business problems and deliver cloud-based solutions that enhance customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design and develop technical solutions.
- Support full-stack development tools and technologies.
- Stay updated on tech trends and experiment with new technologies.
- Mentor other members of the engineering community.
- Work with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
Nice-to-haves
- 5+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
- 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
- 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
