As a Senior Software Engineer (Back End) at Capital One, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions that drive significant transformations within the company. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions.
• Stay updated on tech trends and experiment with new technologies.
• Mentor other members of the engineering community.
• Work with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
• Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala.
• Work with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as container orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Leverage various AWS tools and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience in Python, Java, or Node.js.
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
• 1+ years of experience with Snowflake or DeltaLake.
• 1+ years of experience with Kafka or Kinesis.
• 1+ years of experience with Pyspark.
• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
