About the position

The position involves leading the creation of a technology framework and providing technical leadership to support cloud computing and automation efforts. The focus will be on designing systems and services that operate on cloud platforms, specifically tailored to support the processing of highly classified data. The contractor personnel will be responsible for providing architectural leadership and establishing best practices for cloud-based DevOps application development teams. This role is critical in ensuring that essential applications are designed with a strong emphasis on high availability and disaster recovery, which are paramount in environments handling sensitive information. The successful candidate will collaborate with a group of high-performing individuals, leveraging their extensive experience in IT operations and cloud computing to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of a technology framework for cloud computing and automation efforts.
• Provide technical leadership to support cloud computing initiatives.
• Design systems and services that run on cloud platforms for processing highly classified data.
• Offer architectural leadership and best practices to cloud-based DevOps application development teams.
• Ensure critical applications are designed for high availability and disaster recovery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related subject.
• 10 years' experience in designing large and complex IT operations in large organizations, research environments, or academic environments.
• 3-5 years experience in cloud computing.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with high-performing individuals.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related subject is highly desired.
• Experience working in a Government Cloud Environment.
