About the position

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Apple Services Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable software solutions that power various Apple services such as the App Store, Apple Music, and more. This position emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and technical expertise across the software development lifecycle, focusing on creating robust, reliable, and secure applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complete software products and services.
• Lead architectural discussions and provide technical guidance.
• Craft RESTful APIs and services tailored to customer needs.
• Automate deployment processes using CI/CD tools and containers.
• Monitor application health and diagnose issues swiftly.
• Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Operate and maintain high-availability cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in large enterprise environments with a focus on architecting scalable solutions.
• Expertise in Go or Java programming, with the ability to adapt to other languages as needed.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles, including security and resiliency.
• Proficiency in designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure development.
• Familiarity with IAM and SSO technologies.
• Knowledge of network protocols and Linux/Unix internals.
