About the position
The Senior Software Engineer at Capital One will play a crucial role in integrating products and features into the company's API external developer portal. This position involves collaborating with Agile teams to design, develop, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies. The engineer will also be responsible for delivering cloud-based solutions that enhance customer experiences and drive financial empowerment for millions of Americans.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute as part of a world-class engineering team to ensure seamless integration of products and features into Capital One's API external developer portal.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.
- Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and participate in technology communities.
- Mentor other members of the engineering community.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 3 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply).
Nice-to-haves
- 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.
- 1+ years of experience with Angular.
- 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
- 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
