About the position

The Senior Software Engineer - Database Runtime Performance Optimization role at StubHub focuses on enhancing the performance of MS SQL Server databases. Responsibilities

• Analyze, optimize, and enhance SQL Server workloads to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Utilize advanced techniques to optimize SQL queries, including index tuning and query plan analysis.
• Leverage in-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server internals to resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Lead and manage the migration of large-scale workloads across different databases or environments.
• Design and implement changes to existing services or develop new microservices aimed at optimizing database workloads.
• Design and develop data management solutions that improve performance and reduce costs.
• Develop frameworks and tools to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize SQL Server queries.

Requirements

• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, and Java.
• Deep understanding of SQL Server workload optimization.
• Proven track record in migrating massive workloads across databases.
• Experience in developing SQL Server engine components is a plus.
