About the position

The Senior Software Engineer - DevSecOps at MFS Investment Management is responsible for developing software solutions while ensuring security measures are integrated into the DevSecOps pipeline. This role involves analyzing requirements, coding, debugging, and collaborating with various teams to deliver quality software in an agile environment. Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and map them to design specifications.
  • Code, debug, and unit test programs to deliver final products.
  • Work in an agile environment focusing on quality code delivery.
  • Document code and processes for system support and knowledge transfer.
  • Act as a resource for team members, providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with IT and business groups to resolve problems.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and data.
  • Automate security processes and integrate security tools into the DevSecOps pipeline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in software development and DevSecOps.
  • Strong technical acumen and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, JAVA, Python, and scripting languages like Perl.
  • Familiarity with cloud security practices and tools.
  • Ability to build cross-organizational relationships.
  • Desire to expand skills through self-study and formal instruction.
  • Proficient in Python, Git development practices, and debugging skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Shell, Groovy, and PowerShell.
  • Understanding of Async APIs with decoupled architecture principles.
  • Knowledge of security tools and practices such as vulnerability scanning and incident response.
