About the position
The Software Developer role within the Apple Information Security (AIS) team focuses on developing services to identify and mitigate security risks. This position emphasizes collaboration and individual initiative in a fast-paced environment, aiming to create impactful security solutions that enhance Apple's global security posture.
Responsibilities
- Partner with teams across Apple to prioritize and build the product roadmap
- Advocate for your solutions and secure buy-in
- Continue to research, drive, and develop solutions
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of telemetry, detection, and response actions
Requirements
- Experience with Rust and/or Go
- Familiarity with C/C++, Swift, Objective-C, or Scala
- Knowledge and experience with computer science data structures and algorithms
- Experience working with SQL and No-SQL data stores
- Experience working with the Linux kernel
- Experience in the kernel space for Unix or Darwin
- Skilled in cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Microservices
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working on observability technology such as eBPF
- Experience with open source endpoint security tools
- Expertise with both building and using log aggregation and distributed monitoring tools (Splunk, Elastic Stack, etc.)
- Experience with application tracing, monitoring, analysis and visualizations through analytics dashboards
- Experience using and releasing open source software in corporate environments, with knowledge of licensing and legal review processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and the capability of working with cross functional technical and business teams and varying levels of management
